December 2015
- Two university lecturer positions advertised, one in Literature towards Teacher's training and one in Rhetoric. Last date of application for both is February 1, 2016.
- The workshop "The Dynamics and Contexts of Cultural Transfers" was held at the department on the 3rd and 4th of December. The workshop is a joint venture between the universities in Ghent, Groningen, Göttingen and Uppsala. Read more ...

- New book published: Rethinking National Literatures and the Literary Canon in Scandinavia. Ann-Sofie Lönngren is co-editor.
- The book Kladd, utkast avskrift. Studier av litterära tillkomstprocesseris presented at Carolina Rediviva on Tuesday, November 17, at 16.30. Editors are Paula Henrikson and Jon Viklund.

- The research node "Eighteenth Century Sweden in an International Perspective" has published the anthology Traces of Transnational Relations in the Eighteenth Century. The anthology includes contributions by several of the department's master students and is edited by Tim Berndtsson, Annie Mattsson, Mathias Persson, Vera Sundin and Marie-Christine Skuncke.
- New article by Thure Stenström published, "Språken, modersmålet och känslan – kommunikation i en globaliserad värld", in the Festschrift Sundelöfs Societet, eds. Mats Almgren, Ulla Birgegård, Kristina Glimelius, Kungl. Vetenskaps-Societeten i Uppsala, Uppsala 2015.

- David Gedin co-organizes the symposium "Tecknade serier - Ett outforskat språk" at The Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities.
- David Gedin is co-editor of Strindbergiana, 30:e samlingen. The volume marks two anniversaries: the 70th anniversary of The Strindberg Society and the 30th anniversary of the journal Strindbergiana.
- Marie-Christine Skuncke is awarded the Letterstedt Prize by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, read press release (in Swedish)!
- Carina Burman is awarded the Eric and Ingrid Lilliehöök's Grant by the Swedish Academy.

- A homage volume to Eva-Britta Ståhl, professor in Literature at the Mid Sweden University, has been published: "Om det man inte kan tala måste man sjunga". Eva-Britta Ståhl took her Doctor's degree in Uppsala 1984, and in the volume many scholars with current or former Uppsala affiliation make contributions, among others Björn Sundberg, Thure Stenström, Bo G. Jansson, Örjan Torell, Svante Lovén and Lars Brink.

- New anthology published: Förledd och förtjust: andra generationens retorikvetare tar ordet. Editors are two of the department's PhD students in Rhetoric, Erik Bengtson and Frida Buhre. Alexander Stagnell also contributes to the anthology.
March 2015
- Paula Henrikson is awarded the Schück Prize for 2015 by the the Swedish Academy. Read press release (in Swedish)!
- Janne Lindqvist is guest editor and contributes with an article, and Erik Bengtson contributes with an article, in the new issue (no 68) of Rhetorica Scandinavica. The issue is due beginning of March and its thematic topic is Aristotle's Rhetoric. Publications of Otto Fischer, Patrik Mehrens and Jon Viklund, Peter Lind, and Mats Rosengren are also reviewed.

- Professor Marie-Christine Skuncke is awarded the Torgny Segerstedt Medal for 2014, see the article (in Swedish) Fem nya medaljörer utsedda.

- The book Sverige i tiden: Berättelser från ett levande land is released on November 30, 12:30, at the Swedish History Museum. Author, among others, is Annie Linnéa Mattsson.
- David Gedin gives a lecture, Saturday 29/11, 15:00, at the Strindberg Museum: "En strippad Strindberg".

- Frida Buhre participates as judge and coach in The Swedish Educational Broadcasting Company's show Retorikmatchen. A series of shows will be broadcasted, starting October 14, by Swedish Public Service Television (Tuesdays at 19:20), and by Swedish Public Service Radio, Channel 4 (Saturdays at 11:33).
